Mikey sighed and fidgeted. H'd gotten Quinn to agree to relationship counselling, sine he wanted them to stay togther, but he was having second thoughts himself.

Quinn's hands twisted on his lap. "Are you sure about this, Mikey?"

"I'm sure, I want this to work Quinn" smiled Mikey, kissing his cheek.

Quinn couldn't speak, couldn't say that he'd nevr wanted anythin to work less.

Mike rested his head on Quinns shoulder contentedly "A-Alicia rang, she wanted to ask if Danika can come and live with us?"

"Well, maybe we should wait until... we're sorted out."

Mikey bit his lip "She-it seemed kind of urgent, and I don;t want her to end up with some complete stranger"

"Mikey... idn't I tell you this, loads? I really hate kids."

Mikey whinced "But-But she's my daughter Quinn, maybe this one'll be different."

"Yeah, well, whatever, let's see if this counselling works first, okay?"

Mikey sighed and nodded.

The counsellor smiled. "Hey, can you come inside?"

Mikey stood up and took Quinn hand as they walked in.

Quinn squirmed, trying to release his hold.

The cousellor shook Mikey's handd. "So, both of you want to make this work? That's essential.

"Of course" smiled Mikey, looking almost expectantly at Quinn.

He spluttered, replying a second too late. "Erm, sure, yeah, why not?"

Slight doubt flickered across Mikey face but he quickly hid it and squeezed Quinns hand, sitting fdown happily.

"Welll... coul you tell me when you first strted having doubts?"

Mikey chewed his lip "Well, a couple of months agi I was away alot, my ex girlfriend wa having difficulties with looking after our dauhter and well, Quinn... Quin kissed another man"

The woman raised her eyes. "Oh? An how do you feel about all this?"

Mikey shrugged "Well,.. A bit hurt, but I was away alot, i can understand if Quinn was lonely..."

Quinn touched his hand. "I do still love you! I o!"

Mikey managed a smile and kissed Quinns cheek "I love you too"

Quin tried to stop the hideous thought in his head- I love Wil more.

Mikey smiled and looked back at the counsellor.

Will shivered, huddling in the doorway of a closed shop. Things had ben fine in summer, when he could just wander around at nightand be fine, but now winter was setting in it was cold, he was tired and he wanted o gohome.
