Vampiraturseam, a disease that started in Northern Africa and has since spread world wide. It can be spread through the exchange of bodily fluids except saliva and causes its victims to be sensitive to sunlight, go severly pale, colf and have a constant unquenchable thirst. There is no known cure but a common urban legend says that it can be cured by biting someone uninfected and, preferably, a virgin.

Gerard and Frank, a young couple living alone in their tiny flat in New Jersey don't think anthing will affect them, despite the recent outbreak of Vampiraturseam in their area, then comes one faeful night...

The sun crawled slowly accross the bedroom, making patterns on Gerard's arm. Which was nice, because it meant he wasn't dead yet.
He nudged Frank with his toe. "Time to wake up, Frankie."

Frank mumbled and tossed over, snuggling his face into the pillow, letting out a warm breath as he sat up "Morning Gee-Gee" he mumbled, snuggling into the youngers shoulder.

"Frankie,2 Gee kissed his ear softly. "We need milk, and I'm sure as hell not going to be the one to get it."

"Awww, Why not" moaned frank into Gerards bare shoulder, his own tattoos standing out against his skin "I don;t want to wander OUR streets at this time, at least you can handle yourself"

Gee rolled his eyes. "Fine, then." He sat up, bleary eyed.

Gee grabbed a silver tipped stake, shoving it into his belt. "Okay. Am I all set?" Seriously all this for milk. Butthen again, they did really need milk, and he sure as hell wasn't sending Frank out there.

Frank smiled and pecked Gerards cheek "completely" he yawned, standing up in only his Pajama botoms, remembering he'd have to bolt the door after Gerard. He opened the curtains,revealing bars on all the windows "Be careful"

"Always am, Frankie." Gee smiled. "Lock the door behind me." He smiled, and ran out ito the dawn sunlight.

Frank closed the door and limply pushed the bolt, not noticin that it didn't dslide into place. He curled on the sofa and gazed at the Tv playing some shitty music channel, his eyes lid closed as he realised just how tired he was...

Gee walked quickly, eyes darting from left to right. Even though it was daylight, the older the vampire was, the less the sun affected it. The epidemic had been terrible, at the beginning, but it was pretty isolated here. Thy should be safe, as long as they were careful.
And he had to admit, he did so like the badass leather...

Frank was pretty much fast asleep on the crouch when he heard the door slam shut, he didn;t even sit up as he yawned "back already Gee?"

He could smell him, smell the blood, smell it, oh, god, he needed it needed it now. Pale skin fragile alone undefended broken break him break him HEAL STOP THE THIRST!
Moving noiselessly sneakily like a cat towards him...

Frank sat up, rubbing his eyes. He looked over the bavk of the sofa and yelled out, scrambbling to his feet and grappling for the cross he normally kept around his neck, cursing when he realised it was in his and Gerards room.

The air felt cold.
There was something... wrong, something bad, and close, very close. Gee started jogging up the street, irrationally worried. He knew he shouldn't be scared, but he couldn't relax until he had Frankie in his...

The door was wide open.
Gerard started sprinting.

Frank screamed as razir sharp Fangs dug into his nec as he was pinned to the floor hands hand above his head and knee in between his legs. his head was tied back as he cried and even begged.

"FRANKIE! Frankie, no!" Gerard screamed like an animal, plunging the stake into the vampire's heart, turning it to dust. "Frank, listen to me, Frank, it's okay, I'm here." He could see Frank's veins darken as the venom made its way through Frankie's body.

Franks breath was ragged and panicky as he realised what was happening "Gee, gee I don;t want to die" ghe whimpered, crying ot in pain as the venow wracked through him.

"Frankie," Gee whimpered, cradling his sweetheart's head. "I can't stop it, baby, I don't know how to stop it. But it's okay, it's okay. Frankie, I love you." Gee tried to hide the panic in his voice, but it was still clear in his eyes.

Frank gave another painfill sob and clung to Gerard, whispering the word No over and over again.

By the time Frank woke again it was dark, bute strangely e could see the entire room as if it was day time. Stirring in gerards arms he suddenly realised a hot burning in hsi throat, like e was desperate for water. Getting to his feet cumsily he started to stagger over to the kitchen and turn on the sink.

Gee had been asleep, but Frankie's movement made him alert in a seond- a side effect of living in the epidemic. "Frank? Frankie, how do you feel? Sre you okay?"

"Fine" croaked Frank, pouring the entire glass of water down his throat in one gulp, but it still burned. He stumbled back over to Gerard and crled into the youngers arms, his skiin freezing to the touch "gerard, I'm o thirsty..."

Omigod, Gee thought. He's turned, he's actually turned. I thought this would never happen.
"Frankie, stay here. I've got something that might help." Gerard kissed his forehead.

Frank nodded pitifully and sat up, turning to turn on the TV and flinhing whent the lght hit him.

Gee went into the tiny kitchen, pulling a thermos flask out of the cupboard. Vampires wanted blood, right? He had loads of the stuff.
H egot a knife from one of the drawers and made a tiny incision in the inside of his wrist. Ironic, since all his life he'd told kids not to do this.
When the flask was half full (or half empty, depending on the person) he made his way back to Frank. "Here."

Frank sniffed the flask then sipped caefully. His eyes widened as the burn dulled then returned and drank more hungrily, desperatly soothing his ahing throat, he looked at gerard nce hed fnished, the tiniest bit of blood dribbling from the side of is mouth and kissed him lightly. He looked down and noticed the olders wrist, pain flashin acros his face "Oh Gee, you shouldn'tve"
